Very good peels arrowroot stems with ease for my ducks. By tilting the blade you can peel thick or thin. It's super sharp. I nicked my thumb knuckle twice before developing a better technique. I'm very happy with it. I recommend, away from children. I'll try on sugarcane next. Hopefully it won't blunt as it's cutting with the grain not across?

Quite big and scary to use but looks excellent and is really effective when you’ve had a bit of practice with it. Heavy and great quality

Very good product. Extremely sharp, cuts like butter. For peeling lemons, potatoes, and carrots, where I tested it as soon as it arrived, it cut like a Gillette razor. Very good. Later I will test it on foods with harder peels like strawberries and pineapples.
The blade is thick about 2 MM to 3 mm, very sharp and easily peels or cuts potatoes into chips as if it were a razor blade. It's a very top-notch tool that lasts and is resistant.
This peeler is a lot larger and heavier than i expected! If you are looking to take fine, delicate peels then this is not what you need, but for thicker peeling and heavier work it is perfect. 100%!
